Sample Map Reply
This is what your map reply will look like:
You can now add your icon.
Remember, you can choose to place your icon in one of three ways:

Your membership has been approved.
You can now add your icon.
Steps to add your icon:
1. Go to the A.N.T.S map and sign into your Google account
2. Zoom all the way in to your street or intersection.
3. Click the "edit" button, which is located at the top left corner of the map.
4. Right mouse click on the spot where you would like your icon to go and pick "add a placemark" from the drop down menu.
5.
Your icon will appear on
the map with an edit box to add a subject and description. We recommend adding
your State, City/town and Username in the title area and adding the
word "street" or "intersection" in the description area.
My icon edit box would look like this for a street marker:
Subject: NC - Mooresville - Founderant
Description Street - S Academy St
It would look like this for an intersection marker:
Subject: NC - Mooresville - Founderant
Description Intersection - Main Street and Center Street
This allows someone to find you even if your marker is out of place.
If you feel uncomfortable giving that much information you can just put the username and street or intersection info in the box like this:
Subject: Founderant
Description Street or Intersection, depending on which one you use.
6. After you enter your edit box information click "OK"

6. After you enter your edit box information click "OK"
Note: If you move another
members icon by mistake, an undo button will show up at the top of the
map. Click it and the icon will be put back in place.
7. Click "save" and "done" at the top left corner of the map.
Note - When
you reload or come back to the map, your icon will be on the last
page. To get to it, scroll down to the bottom of the members list and
click next.
1. Place your icon on your street: If
you use this method and you are caught in a disaster and cannot contact
the group, nearby members will search for you by looking on your street
for a distress marker.
2. Place your icon on any intersection in your city/town: This
method allows you to be completely private. If you use this method and
you are caught in a disaster, and cannot contact the group, nearby
members will search for you by looking for an stone or brick marker that you will
place at that intersection. They will then use the information on it to
search for you.
3. Place no icon at this time: If
you choose not to add a icon at this time, you will still need to put
one at a nearby McDonald's if you want to volunteer during a disaster.
It is the only way we can create a supply route. You can remove it after
the route map has been created.
